This is a more subdued painting of one of the hibiscus flowers in my backyard. Except for the bright red accents on the tip of the stamen, I kept the hues soft for a different feel. I printed the image on black-and-white paper and then hand-painted it with a combination of watercolors, oils, pastels, pencils and/or dyes.
