Welcome to Hibiscus Studio, where my mission is to bring joy and comfort to people through the power of art—in my case, hand-painted black-and-white photography. Each piece begins as a black-and-white image, which I print on various art and watercolor papers, or birch and maple wood panels, then hand-paint using oil paints, chalks, pastels, watercolors, acrylic dyes and pencils.

My love for the ocean led me to work in marine conservation. Through my art, I aim to spark the same sense of wonder and connection that first drew me to nature, and invite you to pause, reflect and reconnect. I hope my art using this special technique captures your heart and mind as it has done mine. 

Toni has worked as a professional writer and photographer with a focus on nature, arts and culture. Her award-winning photography has been published internationally, commissioned by individuals, government agencies and private museums, exhibited in galleries and other public venues around the world, and appeared in movies and books.
