I have done a lot of quiet reflecting this holiday season. Unlike the past few years—during which life flew by in a numbing haze of too much work and no play—so much changed this year. Aside from momentous world events, a lot happened to me personally in 2025—some good and some not so good. I lost my mom in March, lost my job shortly after, launched my art career full-time, experimented with lots of difference art media and styles, participated in several events and exhibits both small and large, and saw my daughter off to college in another country. I cried a lot, pondered a lot, learned a lot, taken unexpected travels, met with long-lost friends, and marveled at life’s surprises.

You will see the artworks resulting from these circumstances and travels in 2026, so stay tuned. In the meantime, wishing you a peaceful and healthy new year. Remember to smell the flowers, feel the breeze, and enjoy the beauty and wonder of nature. As this painting hints at, may we all be journeying Onto A New Horizon.
